Nishani Motte / Betta is relatively unknown peak in the range of Bhagamandala (Talacauvery) range, Coorg. It is about 335 Km from Bangalore and The trek distance from the base point Talacauvery is around 13 – 14 kms.

Starting out in rich shola forests and meadows the trail follows an impressive ridge walk to the summit. The peak offers a spectacular view of the layers of the Brahmagiri range.

The Nishani Motte trek is guided by well versed Tala Cauvery Forest Department guide who are well aware of the route and wild animal zones. The challenges, location, view, distance and overnight journey from Bangalore makes it an ideal destination for weekend getaways.

Start from Bangalore – reach Bhagamadala – get ready for trek at Homestay – Start the trek after having breakfast – then to the base of Nishani Motte – trek to the peak – return to Homestay – camp fire.

Next day – visit to Bhagamandala Village Tour – Bhagamandala Temple – back to bangalore.

Nishani Motte trek path is a part of Tala cauvery Wildlife sanctuary which is home for several wildlife animals. So, it is strongly recommended that a guided support is the Forest Department Guide. In which Nature walkers helps you to coordinate with the Forest department for trekking permission also.

Day 0:

7.30 pm – 9 pm – Bangalore
Leaving from Bangalore at late evening. We request you to have some light food before travelling. This trip would be an overnight journey to Bhagamandala Village (via Virajpet) which is about 335 km away from Bangalore, in which we would have an informal introduction and have fun

Day 1:

7 am – 8.30 am – Bhagamandala Homestay
We will reach Home Stay in morning. Fresh up at the homestay and Set up for the trek after a nice breakfast
8.30 am – 9.30am – Tala Cauvery
After Breakfast we would take a bus ride of about 8 km from homestay to the Tala Cauvery Base of Nishani Motte. The distinctive Tala Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary arch is the starting point of the trek.

9.30 am – 11am – Jeep road path
The initial trail of the trek is bit broad jeep road which leads you to the jungle. While passing through the dense forest, it is advisable to pass peacefully without disturbing the nature or its animals.

11 am – 12.30pm – First View point
Nishani Motte is the third peak from the start point. The undisturbed natural view from the peak is a perfect example of raw and untouched beauty of nature.

12.30 pm – 2.30 pm – The Peak
There are several view points on this trail but the one from the top always win our hearts. The lush-green forest view from the top inspires you with its beauty and vastness.

2.30 pm – 5.30pm – Descent
The final check point of Nishani Forest is APC (Anti – Poaching Centre). From where we would start descending to bus point and to the much awaited hot dinner at home stay

8.30 am – 10 am – Village Visitvisit to Bhagamandala Village Tour – Bhagamandala Temple – back to bangalore 10.00 am – 9.30 pm – Return Journey to Bangalore..
