The Consumer Travel survey conducted by FICCI predict that by summer 2021 we will face minimal travel restriction and a sharp rise in travel again.
The Additional Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India, Ms Rupinder Brar said that the underlining in the pandemic induced country lockdowns is that even though the travel industry was severely impacted, it also helped industry to step back, learn more, and gave time to understand the consumer’s needs and demand.

If you are making a travel plan to visit destinations in India, here are some things you should consider doing.
Be Flexible
With many destinations subject to changing travel regulations, it is best to avoid booking a vacation which you cannot change or refund. Instead, go for the Airlines or hotels or travel organisations which allows flexibility with dates of your travel. Avoid unknown territories
Even though different states are loosening their travel regulations, it is best to avoid location which you are not familier with. Try to gather as much information as possible of the locations you are visiting. Try gathering locals contacts from the region and enquire about the present situtation of the place. Read goverment norms and regulations before making your travel booking.
Safety Precautions
As per the Covid-19 guidelines, always wear mask in public, carry and use hand sanitizers, wash your hands regularly, avoid large crowds and try to choose personal transport options. Also these are activities which might put you at higher risk for Covid-19:
1: Going to a large social gathering like a wedding, funeral, or party.
2: Attending a mass gathering like a sporting event, concert, or parade.
3: Being in crowds like in restaurants, bars, fitness centers, or movie theaters.
4: Not wearing marks or PPE kit while taking public transportation like planes, trains, or buses, or being in transportation hubs like airports.
5: Traveling on a cruise ship or riverboat.
6: Consider to book private homestays or village than booking large hotels.
7: Work with a travel consultant to build an itinerary that prioritizes safety, private excursions, and transportation whenever possible.
