The initial part of the trek is typical western ghats forest region covered in dense tall trees and filled with life. You will be able to see some exquisite flora and fauna and varieties of old age trees on the trail. After almost 30 mins we will come out of the forest tree lines and get grassland meadow trail.

The grassland meadows are so pretty and it resembles to the Ali-Bedni Bugyal meadows of Uttarakhand Himalayas. It's one of kind grassland one can witness in South India.

After almost an hour we will get two bifurcation of trail, One leading to the Ballalarayana Durga Fort and other leading to Bandaje Waterfall. We will head to the fort and explore the surrounding and then climb down through the meadows to the Bandaje Water fall.

The Trail gives an immense beautiful sight of high mountains and valleys, you can also see the Kudremukh Mountain from this trail. Watching Kudremukh range covered in clouds is one sight you should never miss if you are on this trail.

After climbing down a bit to the waterfall, we will start hearing the rushing water of the waterfall. It gives immense satisfaction to soak your legs into the chilled water of Bandaje Waterfall. Listening to water flowing, birds flittering and cold breeze makes you closer to the nature and motivates you to walk all through back to the mountain and its peak.

After having our packed lunch and spending some time at the waterfall we will start our departure from the trek back to the meadow trail and back to the Kalabhyraveshwara Temple.   After finishing the trek, we will head back to jeep and make our way back to homestay.
