Day 1: Arriving at Bir

Reach Bir and our representative will take you to our Guest House. You can fresh up here and pack your day pack pag for today’s exploration. The first stop is a beautiful waterfall. We will get in our cab and head to waterfall base from which it is a 1.5km trek to the waterfall. You can spend some time here while enjoying the flowing water and taking pictures with the waterfall.  After that we will come back to the guest house for freshup and chai. In the evening we we explore the Tirthan Colony Market. It is small town night market where you can check out the cafes, try the local cuisines and do street shopping. The evening walk to the market is very life liking and refershing experience.  Post the market exploration we will come back to the guest house for hot delicious dinner and night stay in the guest house.

Day 2: Trek from Bir to Billing

Today we are going to trek to the highest paragliding site in whole India. It would be a 6km trek through dense forest and waterfall. The trek ascend gradually but not too steep. We will have our lunch beside a beautiful waterfall and then continue our trek till we reach the best paragliding site in India. We will settle in, fresh up and have a cup of coffee/tea while enjoying the beautiful valley beneath us. The whole valley looks like a green carpet of dense forest trees and meadows.

In the evening we will put on some music and lit up the campfire to warm our self. This is the perfect time to know more about our trek leaders and travel companions who would be sharing the campsite with us. Post which we will have our padahi dinner and sleep in our tents with blankets.

Day 3: Paragliding from Billing

Today is going to be the best day of our whole trip. Today we are going to launch our parachutes from the highest paragliding site ie Billing and enjoy the experience of flying in the sky like a bird. So, wake up early and try to catch the morning sunrise from the place. its the most rejuvinating experience of gazing through the rising sun from Billing.

We will have our breakfast and setup our paragliding gears. Each glider is maneuvered by certified and experience paraglider guide. He will inform you when to start running and when to lift up your legs while landing. You just need to sit, relax and click some photos from your gopro while floating through the clouds of Himachal Pradesh. We promise you, it would be the best 25mins of your life you ever spend flying above the ground. Quick Note: If you do not have a gopro, you can rent it from our paragliding guide for cheap price.

The bird eye view of small house, mountains, valley and waterfalls is just amazing and cannot be expressed in words. We would land our parachutes in Bir and then head ahead for visit Lord Shiva Baijnath Temple for blessings.

It is a 3 days and 2 night plan which inclues, trek, waterfall, camping and an amazing paragliding experience. Bir also knows the “Paragliding Capital of India” is a small town village located in the Joginder Nagar Valley of Himachal Pradesh. The place is best suitable for ecoturism, spiritual studies and meditation. It is also a home of the Tibetan refugee settlement with several Buddhist monastries and magnificient stupas. While Billing offers the launching pad for paragliding, Bir villages happens to be the landing site, therefore the name of the place used in conjunction as Bir Billing.

Bir is located in the mid of Dharamshala (70km) and Manali  (220km) and Billing is situated to the north of Bir. If there is a location where you can enjoy one of the best paragliding experience in India then the site is Bir Billing. Here every glider is manuevered by a pilot and you just need to sit, relax and click pictures. Some say, it were the best 25min of their life. The another great highlights of Bir Billing are the sprawling, peaceful and welcoming monasteries. The two famous monasteries of the region are the Palpung Sherabling Monastery and the Dzongsar Shedra Monastery. Even though the visit to these monasteries are not included in the plan, it would be a great experience to explore these monasteries for couple of more bucks. If you rent a bike or hire a car, the road is all yours.

Other Details

We develop our itinerary without compromising anything regards to Safety. We are aware that you would have concern regarding travelling this post covid lockdown but we take several measures to make the trip safe for you. We strongly recommend all the travellers in the trip to gain a Covid-19 Test certification. Apart from that we also sanitize the vehicle and homestay/campsite thoroughly before using it. We have made the use of face mask mandatory at public places and travel destination. Although its difficult to trek with face mask on, we strongly monitor the protocol of social distancing.   • Please carry Xerox copy of Pan Card or Aadhar Card, as its same is required to permission from the Forest Department. 
  • Non – Indian nationals will have to pay additional cost of Rs. 1300/- toward forest permission. 
  • We strictly DO NOT ALLOW consumption of Alcohol, Beer, smoking or intoxicants on out trek. We request you to please co-operate with us to the make the experience more enjoyable. 
  • Requesting our participant to DO NOT EXPECT any kind of luxury on the trek. We host our treks in remote location and do our best to arrange the basic necessary facilities for our participant. The objective is to experience the local outdoor. 
  • We provide hot vegetarian food on our treks. If in case we can arrange Non-Veg, we would inform you on the trek. 
  • DO NOT wear tight pants; tight pants are not comfortable for treks as the leg motion is restricted. 
  • DO NOT carry valuable ornaments; it can cause unnecessary trouble if misplaced. (Nature Walkers do not take any responsibility of your ornaments). 
  • DO NOT wear black or dark cloths and perfume on the trek (as some insects get attracted to dark color and perfumes) 
  • Please put the little at its place, we request to not trash the trek or the accommodation facility. 
  • If in case of traffic delay, we request our participants to expect little delay in reaching the destination. 
  • 8 to 20 Members 
  • We get equal boys to girls ratio for most of our treks/trips 
  • We require a minimum of 8 participant to confirm the event 
  • If in case, we fail to obtain the required minimum number of participants. We would initiate full refund or transfer to another event for the same departure date. (Option of transfer shall be subject to payment/refund of balance amount if any) 

FAQs

Nature Walkers shall follow all the basic Covid Guidelines like Face Mask, Hand Sanitizer, Vehicle and Homestay Sanitization with Temperature Check. It is mandatory to carry Covid Vaccination Certificate if you have been vaccinated with both the doses on Trek. If you have Vaccinated only with one dose or have not got vaccinated,  then you would need RTPCR Negative Test Report to join this Trek. As It might be inconvience if the state government rule changes after your do your registration or after you begin your travel and it would be difficult to find covid test centers nearby to your travel destinations. Also, we have shared the itinerary in a form of a virtual trek/trip which would give you basic idea of the difficulty level of the trek/trip, which will help you in decision making.
