Day 2: Departure from Gandikota
We will wake up in the morning to the gushing sound of river for a mesmerizing sunrise. The image of Sun rising to the day through the open crack of earth is something can that can only be experienced and not described. After sunrise, we will freshen up and have our breakfast at the campsite. After this, we can say goodbye to Gandikota and head towards another exploration of Belum Caves.
As we said in our description that Belum caves is the largest and longest cave system in the Indian Subcontinent capturing hindered of hidden tunnels within itself. When Sun rays’ beams through its open crack, the cave radiates hundreds of different colors while illuminating its darks trails. We will spend some time here exploring its big boulders and narrow passes and then hop in our bus for another journey through the time of history.
Our next stop is Lepakshi Nandi Temple. This historical temple of 16th century is famous for its architectural features like hanging pillars, shrine chambers of Lord Shiva-Parvathi and Lord Vishnu, carving of multi-hooded serpent coiled like an umbrella over a Linga, and a huge granite Nandi bedecked with garlands and bells.
