Located in the Western Ghats in Coorg, it is the second-highest trekking point out there. If you are still wondering, let’s clear your confusion. The name is Kumara Parvatha. The highest trekkable path after Mullayanagiri. 



A strenuous 28 km trek (14 km to and fro), this beautiful yet demanding trail begins from Beedhalli, Somwarpet. Also known as the Pushpagiri Trek, it is quite a favourite among Bangaloreans and people from the neighbouring states. The journey from Somwarpet is definitely a longer route but divine nonetheless. A thick canopy of trees will protect you throughout your trek.



Basically, that’s the Shola forest through which you would be making your journey till Kumara Parvatha. Hanging over 5,600 meters above sea-level, Kumara Parvatha is quite a learning experience for trekkers of all levels. Throughout the route, you would find small streams that can provide you with drinking water as basic facilities are scarce.



Almost a 4-hour trek, you would be greeted with mesmerizing views at every second. Sunrays playing hide and seek through the tall trees, the rippling sound of streams, or just the uncanny silence of the surroundings. The whole experience is quite a gripping one.
